COD Students Bring Home the Grad Cup

COD Students Bring Home the Grad Cup Congrats to our Grad Cup Winners!

Five days . . . five grueling sports . . . four graduate programs represented . . . and the College of Dentistry’s team took home the Grad Cup for the second year in a row.

During the week of February 25, our dental students played volleyball, basketball, softball, soccer and football against teams from the Law, Medicine and Pharmacy programs. And it turns out that dentists really can do it all.

They brought home the Grad Cup and, more importantly, helped raise more than $7,000 for the International Medical Outreach and the UF Law’s Gator TeamChild Juvenile Advocacy Clinic. These programs help fund medical mission trips abroad and cover the cost of law services for underprivileged children.

This is the second year of the Grad Cup program. The entire event was headed by COD student Kelly Bliss, and COD student Kevin Kosko chaired the COD’s involvement. Thank you to everyone who participated in this worthwhile cause and for making us look good by bringing home the cup.
